Hemoglobin is a part of the blood that carries oxygen and carbon dioxide. I cannot speak to what the world health organization says is normal, but Mosby and the American Academy of Pediatrics counts normal levels of Hgb as 10-17g/dL for infants less then 6month of age. Please note that this is a different measurement then grams per liter. I wish you all the best.
