I have type 2 diabetes (my doctor wants me to take pills, but I don't take them). I want to find ways to lower my blood sugar without medications. Has anybody had any success using vinegar to improve their diabetes?

At first, I was going to answer no, but then I thought about it a bit longer. Yes, I do use vinegar, but not in the way many might think. I do not swallow vinegar by the spoonful. What I do know and do, is as follows:

Vinegar helps to inhibit the absorption of sugars into the blood stream. It also helps to keep things from breaking down into glucose.

So, how do i use it. Well, I eat a lot of pickles, which are pickled in vinegar. I eat salads with vinegar as the main taste in the dressing. So, yes, I do use it, but not in the way many might think.

Here is a link though that talks about using vinegar in a more direct way.

I hope this helps.

vinegar is sugar. what you are trying to do is something that is bad. he has told you pills and right now that is best for you and get your weight down. if you don't take medication you will be on shots soon. why take a chance. its a big deal and very easy to work with. there is no alternatives that i know of and i am up on most with the doctor i am seeing. please heed what hes says and do it. now.

No, I hadn't heard of that. Some people suggest chromium (if you can handle the nausea) or cinnamon supplements help.

I do know that a ketogenic eating plan will help DM2 with amazing results. Research that on the web.
