It's one of those words that have a different spelling or a slightly different way of being pronounced by different countries/states/cultures/religions/etc. it means the same thing though. take a pick, or use both it doesn't really matter xoxxoxoxoox :)

They are just different ways of spelling the same thing. In the US it is soy sauce, in Europe it is soya sauce.

The word "soy" is actually slang for "soy sauce". The word "soy" is not a real word, it is, as I said, slang. The word "soya" comes from the Dutch "soja". They got that from the Japanese word Sho-yu, which means soy bean sauce.

The little "a" on the end of "soya." The British call it soya, and United Statesians call it soy.
