Tons. Try http://www.happycow.net

I've found so many from that website I wouldn't have found otherwise. . .they're listed according to your area anywhere around the world. I've been to some in Grand Rapids, Ann Arbor and Chicago and I'm headed to California August 18th and am using it to find places all over that state. Very resourceful.

Yes, we have one 20 minutes from Philadelphia. It is vegetarian, but also caters to vegans. It is called Horizons. There are a few in NYC called the Zen Palate. I've believe that this restaurant is a chain.
There are many vegetarian restaurants in Europe that I've eaten at as well.

Um... they are everywhere... Just around where I live, there are so many vegan ones, then there are others that are vegetarian, then there are ones that are vegan friendly, .... all but a few are in the city though, and I live in the burbs... basically red neck stuff out here. Anything that goes with beer in the burbs.

tons of them.

My favorite was called "Sarang" in Newport, ORegon. IT was an all-vegetarian Korean Restraunt, but unfortunately no longer exists (from what I hear).

My second favorite is in sEattle Washington, called Bamboo Garden. It is awesome CHinese food.

In India vegetarianism is mainstream and vegetarians are not considered freaks. There are probably more pure veg restaurents in India that otherwise. More so in smaller towns.

Oh, yeah. There are even all vegan restaurants. Sublime in Ft. Lauderdale, FL is all vegan and all profits go to a local animal rights organization. And this is not some hummus-and-pita type place. This is serious, fancy, gourmet food. You should really try it.

Yeah there must be thousands! I went to loads of buddhist restaurants in SE Asia.

There's a vegan chinese near me which has the best food I have ever tasted... it has 'fake meat' which tastes exactly like the real thing. My favourite's their fake crispy aromatic duck... I could happily eat only that for the rest of my life (if I didn't have to think of healthy vegan balanced diet of course).

And come to Washington, DC, and try Java Green, an all-veg, mostly vegan, cafe; and Sticky Fingers, a wonderful vegan bakery!

I second the www.happycow.net recommendation.

there are lots, demuths in Bath, there's quite a famous one in Bristol and there's at least one veggie pub in cornwall. Why not do a search on line for the area you want to visit, or look in the phone book, as I'm sure lots of our reccommendation are irrelevent to you.
