"My question is why do you force your opinions on me!?
"
You do realise how hypocrytical that is, don't you ?
This is the Vegetarian and Vegan section in the FOOD and DRINK fourm
Nothing to do with PETA or animal right activists.
Why lump us all into one bucket ? You are entitled to vent your frustration, but why not target it at PETA, not us ? Would you walk into a mosque and complain about christians just because they both supported a religion, regardless of which one it was ?? No, so why assume vegetarians support PETA, it does not make any sense
Also, it would be interesting to hear see you quote how PETA have personal poured paint over your fur or leather coat, or ruined your resturant business...i doubt you have any personal experience of this, you are just believing a stereotype.
The rest of your statement is even less of a logical arguement...."Why can't we eeat them while they eat each other"....so its ok to murder people because some others do, is it ?? What you are saying is that animals define humans moral values..strange.
And your "sorry" at the end doesn't count. Sorry means an apology and regret with the intention it will not happen again. If you really were sorry, you could easily have re-phrased your rant, posted it elsewhere, delted your question or added addition comments explaining your apology.
We run a vegetarian and vegan guest house and it is strange to me that some meat-eaters seem to meet far more V&V that i do, where do you live, Vegansville ?
I like questions like this, it brings out such stupid meaty answers that show you up..."plants are the same"...really ? what, you cannot tell the difference between a stick of celery and a cow ?
Looking at your question history it turns out you are 13 and can't get any girl to like you....he, he, perhaps you need to concentrate on that rather than trying to pick a fight with people who know better than you.

I do not eat a lot of meat, I will cook it for people, my first choice is soy, I make a mean vegieloaf, I eat cheese, drink milk all that good stuff. I think the PETA people are weird, in my area they work at fast food restaurants, where leather shoes. I don't get it either.

The only part of this i'm going to answer is this:
Businesses are not ruined. I live in Norfolk, less than a mile from PETA headquarters. Because of this high percentage of AR supporters, new businesses which cater to that have shown up on every corner. AND the ones that sell meat and cheese, they have introduced vegetarian menus in addition to their normal menus. We have a demand they are ready to supply. Thus, they make their money and can pay their rent.
The rest of your question is just misinformed rambling.

I agree but you are wrong about animals dont have the same feelings as we do. PLANTS do not have feelings, animals have a heart and brain as we do. The only difference between us and animals is communication. Many vegetarians don't force people to be like them, what they want the most from you to keep animal killing to yourself. And especially, animal skin is a fashion now a days very painful to see.

I agree with you to some extent. I am not a vegitarian or any of it's sub species .Heh. I do think that animals have some feelings , but not like we do. Crazy Animal lovers personify their pets and or animals to the level of children. Sorry, If there's a fire in my house, I will definately get my daughter out and let the cat fend for itself. I am an aminal lover, I just am not an extremist about it. These people have elevated their mania to the extreme as do other terriorist. It is like a religious zealot that kills abortion doctors or El kida hating americans. I love my cat. My daughter and I volunteer at the Humane Society because we love animals. I eat meat. You know what? Lions, tigers, cheetahs, pumas, alligators, crocs, eagles, hawks, some monkeys, as well as many other animals eat other animals, What do these people say about that? So they say the animals can't help it, that they could train them all to eat grains, or is that just the way God made them? I agree with God making them that way and that God himself gave us deminion over the animals.
These people can help out in non distructive ways and still get their point accross. Maybe they should put their time, money and other resources to help animals find homes, get health care and other things they need instead of terriorizing people who may think differently than they do. If everyone was distructive and terriorizing people who didn't agree with them, there would probably be 2 people left on earth! Maybe we should just agree to disagree and do possitive things to enhance our beliefs?

The question is not whether animals have emotions or how intelligent they are, but do they suffer? Yes, they do. Unlike cats and dogs, farm animals have no legal protection from abuse. They're exposed to mass cruelty, mass abuse, mass torture, and then death. Since humans do not need meat - in fact, the ADA confirms the average vegetarian / vegan lives about ten years longer, as well as experiences lower risks of heart disease, obesity, and even cancer - why should we eat it? Simply because we enjoy it? We want to? Would it be okay to kill a mentally challenged person if we enjoyed it, since they're less intelligent? No, eating meat is unnecessary for humans and causes unnecessary suffering.

yes i agree that some of them will try to reject your opinion and force theirs upon you but i dont think its fair (the person who responded already ashton c) that you would say we all want attention. i have been vegetarian for 9 years now and i dont tell others they should do the same nor will i ever. its was a choice that i made and if you dont see eye to eye with me about it i am not going to force you to. at any rate i thought that because peta forces themselves upon you that you might like the peta site my friend told me about a while ago, it stand for "people eat tasty animals". enjoy!

seems to be one of these "questions" every week in here.
honestly, i doubt the original poster even knows any vegetarians or vegans. seriously, believing mass media can sure make you look like a fool :/
activists and psychos would make up a tiny percentage of the vegan/vegetarian population. probably less than 1 percent.
most vegetarians and vegans wont even tell people that they are, i know i dont most of the time. i just say im eating healthy or im not hungry.
i eat what i eat because i want to eat it, and yours and anyone else opinion on the matter means **** all to me. its naive to think that all vegans and vegetarians are assholes because of the loudest fanatical minority. and besides theres plenty of stupid fanatical meat enthusiasts, like people who go hunting with a full stomach.
honestly go ahead and eat meat, i could care less if you get sick every month until you die 25 years earlier of heart disease. i could care less.
i will keep eating my vegan diet and exercising, continue not having a single cold or flu in years. enjoying boundless energy, a lean physique and a body building lifestyle.
your foolish and uninformed, your generalizing heaps of people who you dont even know, most of which are like me, doing things for personal reasons and not giving a damn about you or anyone else.

It's pretty funny how you sought out the vegetarian and vegan section to intentionally post this. I am a vegetarian and I have only met two others in person myself so I doubt you have a bunch of vegetarians stalking and harassing you. If you want some attention go ask mommy or daddy for it.
