No.
Most STDs, including HIV/AIDS, need direct contact and exchange of bodily fluid.
Also, the reason drinking fountain water is usually kept so cold is that germs do not live for long in cold temps. This is the reason every building in South Florida is near Artic in temperature.
Check out the Centers for Disease Control.

AIDS and other STDs are transmitted through unprotected sexual intercourse, vaginal, oral, anal. They can be transmitted through blood and less likely through the mucous of the body. There's little chance that you'd contract anything from a drinking fountain unless you literally put the entire faucet into your mouth and sucked on it. If you're worried, carry bottled water with you. You'll look cool and feel safe at the same time!

STD and AIDS cannot be transmitted from a drinking fountain of gym equipment. STD's normally transmitted through bodily fluids like blood, sperm, precum etc.
Don't worry. You are prefectly safe by going to gym where there are many gays.

normally those are "sexually transmitted" which means that you need to transfer bodily fluids (semen) through intercourse of some sort. you usually cant get Aids from kissing or mouth-to-mouth. and usuing the drinking fountain, unless the person before you had aids and cuts there finger or *comes on the fountain and you have an open sore and it gets into your sore. thats pretty outrageous and probably unlikely.

hmmm.... the worst that could possibly happen, although it is EXTREMELY UNLIKELY, if you get teh cold sore virus. If the person using the fountain right before you touches the metal part with their cheek or side of their mouth, and then you do the same.

HIV and other STDs need the body's temperature in order to survive. They can't survive in a drinking fountain.

I've heard that they haven't discovered where anyone's gotten AIDS/HIV other than by blood or by sex. However, if you're surrounded by gays in the gym, JUST TO BE ON THE SAFE SIDE, I'd bring my own bottles of water. Or at least don't accidentally touch the mouth of the water fountain.

no you can't. and just because a lot of gay people go to the gym doesn't mean anything. basically STD's are transmitted through bodily fluids like blood, mucous and sexual fluids. so there is nothing to worry about.
