Sushi is a main dish in Japan, but it originated in China. I'm not so sure about dumplings because they have all kinds in so many places. They have them in the Caribbean, Ireland, Mongolia, and a lot more places, but I would have to say China. I say that because the most common and well known types of dumplings are found there.
