To me, going green just means making decisions that have a minimal effect on the environment. It can be as small as making the decision to turn your tap off while brushing your teeth. That's a tiny change but it would save you 3650 litres of water a year and, if everyone in the UK did the same thing, we would save 214,580,558,100 litres of water every year! Small changes can make a huge difference and going green can be very easy.

There's loads of tips to get you started at the link below :-)

Well I am 66 so I will tell you what I know.

To live green is to waste as little as possible. Recycle as much as possible.

The Free cycle.org group is a great way to help live green, you can get rid of things by giving them free to others that can use those things.

I learned recently that a plastic grocery bag costs 1 penny to buy and 17 cents to recycle. So I try to use canvas totes.
I am still converting so I am not great at it yet.

I am in Merchandising and Sales and have been for 26 years.
You would be absolutely shocked to see what major Chains in America trash in their dumpsters in the back. Furniture, all sorts of Product that could be discounted but instead they just trash it. Target is horrible.Home Depot and Lowe's also, they should be required to recycle. Or be fined should they not do so. One store fills a semi truck load a week of trash and product that could have been utilized in some other way. That is the Home Depots and Lowe's I am referring to.

To live green is to use as little electric or fuel as you can, make as small an imprint as possible by recycling and reusing everything you can. Change your light bulbs to the cork screw florescent, they burn much less electric.

In my case I save many recycling things for art projects for my Granddaughters to use.

Good luck on your venture into "LIVING GREEN"

In essence, Green can mean anything rainging from changing a light bulb to doing everything "au natual".

Here are some ideas:

change a light bulb to a CFC.
use natural cleaners, like orange acid.
go vegetarian/vegan
donate money to enviormental causes (carbon credits)
create and keep up a vegtable garden
eat local vegtables
get a hybrid car
use public transportation
encourage the government (national, state, local) to pass enviormentrally friendly bills/ordinaces
encourage other people to do these things

BTW, going green is the new "it" thing right now.
Oh, and i'm a vegetarian
