This Site Might Help You.
RE:
HELP!! What to you give your parents 60Th wedding anniversary?
We are co- hosting a family dinner at a restaurant for their anniversary. We feel we should give them something. They own their own home, still enjoy life with travel and dining out. We have limited funds, we will get a gift with my brother-in-law.

For the 60th usually a diamond is given. You could get your mother a small diamond necklace, which shouldn't be too expensive. If you are in the United States, you can have a congratulations post card sent from the White House. The site below will tell you how to do it. Do a web search for some other ideas for this wonderful event.

Join together and buy them a gift certificate for a particular restaurant or maybe for a weekend at a bed and breakfast. You might put together a picture album of some of the occasions over the years which would be meaningful to them. For our parents, we contacted friends and relatives and asked each of them to write a letter about some special experiences they had had with our parents. Those letters were and are so special to them. You could also tape record or put on video some interviews with those special people and present that to them or show it at the party. We asked to borrow photos and set up a table of photographs for all to enjoy at the party and that was a special surprise, as well. You could borrow and copy some of those photos, too.

Congratulations! How wonderful! I would get them a gift certificate to bed and breakfast since they are still active and like to travel. It would be so romantic and they can explore a new area. I don't know what state you live in but this link should help you find a great b&b that is just right for them!

Make a scrapbook for them, put in all kinds of endearing thoughts and fun pictures. Have the whole family join in and do a page themselves. That is so inexpensive to do and they will love that you put the time and effort into it for them.
