when this person said AIDS i assume he means it's full blown. what is the life expectancy of a person with this?

It really depends on the person. Some people can live years with AIDS, while some people only live a few months.

I found out my uncle had AIDS back in 1997 (I was only 12 at the time). He went from being a stong, huge body builder type of guy to basically skin and bones in about 6 months and died very soon after.

HIV/AIDS affects people differently. Like the person above said, just be there for them! Even though my uncle died a painful and horrible way, I know he was glad that he was surrounded by people who loved and cared about him.

It depend on how they continue to live. Whether or not they are going to be under the supervision of a physician and if they take the recommended drugs. Honestly, your best bet is to talk to this person.....your friend and find out what they know about their disease. See if the doctors have told them what to expect. That honestly is the only way you will get some answers.....just keep in mind that your friend.....is still the same person.....please don't push them aside because of their illness. Best of luck.....I hope your friend fares well with this.

i think they said the person can live up to 9-12 years maybe? ask a doctor.
