Depends if they were major or minor heart attacks, and if there was permanent damage or none at all.

Also, has he reduced his smoking ? improved his diet ? Do you or your mother and other family give him less stress ? Job stress ? Is he starting to exercise ? Does he take his medications ? Has he cut back on alcohol ? Will he eat fruit ?

Doing the right things, he'll he alive and kicking for 20-30 years. How does he walk ? slow or a brisk step ? If slow, that's a bad sign. If he walks with a youthful step, that's a good sign.

When he exercises, does his heart rate go up easily, and come down again easily ? Both are a good sign. Either one slow, not a good sign. Does he get breathless exercising ? That's not a good sign.

A low resting heart arte is a good sign, high one, a bad sign.

If he'll drink juice, buy him blueberry pomeranate mix, or 100% pomegranate.

Mind with all these, my wife's father is 78, and walks with a bent, slow shuffle, and has a bad diet. But he's still here.

Most indicators give an idea of what will happen, but not 100%.

But surviving two heart attacks is a good sign, too. 60% of first heart attacks kill. Two did not get him, yet.

35 % die within first year, so your dad has survived better than 50% probability. His chances improve with each survival.
