No, I have a friend who has raised her 2 young daughters vegan, and they are a normal height and very, very healthy. Just make sure you eat balanced nutrition & take the proper amount of any vitamins or supplements that you might need, and your growth will not be affected.

I became vegan at 18. I have been much healthier. When I became vegan I started researching health and nutrition. I started eating much healthier than before, and there is a big difference in my energy level. I recommend it as soon as you are ready. It doesnt matter what age you become vegan, as long as you know about nutrition. If you do research on what foods you need to be healthy, then it doesnt matter if your 8 or 88. Reading a book about becoming vegan will be very helpful. Good luck!

Vegan should not stunt your growth at all. In fact, many persons in western countries eat too much meat and other things that are not good for them. The important thing to keep in mind is that vegans have to pay a little more attention to their protein intake than those who are not vegans. I'll post a very informative guideline link for you which has been written by some of the top medical experts from the National Institutes of Health.

I know vegetarian kids, only 1 is vegan to my knowledge but none of them are shorter or smaller than most of their peers & most of them (including the 6-year-old vegan) are often taken to be older than their actual age.

I have been a vegetarian since birth and I am 5'7, though both of my parents are short. My dad is 5'8 and my biological mom is around 5'0. Don't worry.

No dear. in India more than 40 % are pure vegetarians and I and my family are vegetarians. We grow to about 5.8, 5.10 and my nephew is 6.2. So it has nothing to do with vegetarianism. You can see elephant and Rhinoceros. Both are pure vegetarians. They are the strongest of all animals.

Well being a vegan will probebly stunt your growth as you are missing out on alot of diffrent foods and diffrent minirals and vitamins e.g. calcium, iron, protine to name a few, you should eat a balanced diet of diffrent food stuffs including meat and animal products, humans are ment to eat animals and plants end of story.
So eat abit of everything eat 3 meals a day and exersise and drink lots of water and this should alow you to reach your maximum height.
You are now at the point where you will have a growth spurt so a good diet is important, your estimated height is about 5ft 5 5ft 6 but it could be enything.

Good luck

I am not sure about becoming a vegan stunting your growth but it will narrow your perspective on life in general, causing you to look down on your friend who aren't vegan and distance them from you.
