Meat can be still appealing to people. But notice that health organizations are coming up with advices saying that you should vary your protein sources with more plant based ones. Red meat and those full of white fat are to be eaten sparingly even by non-veg people. So, we veg are still on the safe side. Don't worry be happy!

Ok I'm not totally vegetarian (still eat fish, but I'm probably gonna drop that eventually), but I can't say I have a totally viable craving for other meats. If ever the thought comes to mind, I think about how awfully they're treated and it completely annihilates that feeling. Plus, at least in my experience, I have found totally satisfying vegetarian substitutes so cravings are never usually a problem.

Nope. I always thought this before I became vegetarian, but then I was thinking "Hang on, this is an animal that I'm eating", and now when ever I look at a peice of meat it just looks like a slice of animal to me, which is really really un-appetising. It just seems like taking a bite out of my dog's leg or something, craving doing that just seems mental. I crave meat just about as much as I crave eating poo.

No, I became vegetarian because I realised I didn't like meat anyway. I guess I got grossed out by seeing all the blood vessels and ligaments and stuff like that. Plus I hate the smells. I found bbq sauce on my pizza tasted the same as a meat lover pizza. Vege hot dogs by sanitarium taste like sausages too, but I hardly ever bother with them.
Its funny but I guess I just associate the smell of meat with pet food as I work around animals a lot.

Not I. Although for a short period in my pregnancy I was craving cheese, but never gave in. Also, as been said, it's the sauces. There are times when I see a recipe, cooking show, commercial, etc. gushing about the yummyness of the marinades or something like that, I think, "If meat is as good as what they say, then why is it soaked in a sauce?"

It's possible to marinade tofu, as spongy as what it is, but I've not tried it.

No.

When I first became a vegan I craved cheese for about 30 seconds really badly, and then thought I was going to barf.

I don't crave meat or anything that comes from animals.

no. It's actually really easy to NOT eat meat. I didnt think it would be so easy b4 i went vegetarian, but now i see how easy it is.

I agree with what some other people said--about liking the sauces and spices.

Nope! I used to crave chicken, but now they make really good soy versions, so not anymore! I actually think it's gross now and am totally disgusted whenever I eat it by mistake.

No, I actually get neausus smelling it now. One time I accidentally ate some dip with bacon bits in it and I threw up everywhere. My body no longer tolorates it I guess.
