First of all, Happy Birthday! I know your birthday didn't turn out as well as you may have liked but, be thankful that you have a very thoughtful brother. He got you the Chicken dinner and the birthday cake and that is showing you that he loves you and didn't forget your birthday. There isn't a gift more special than knowing that someone thinks of you and brings you a gift from his heart and I think that is what your brother did. Give him a hug and thank him for his love for you. Money and gifts don't always make you happy; it is the thoughtfulness of those around you and the way they show you that they care. Try not to feel too bad. I know it would have been fun to have a party, go out or get some gifts but hopefully you will always remember that your brother thought of you in his own special way.

Did everyone forget you had it....your brother didn't....so what's with your parents?....or do they take you somewhere later?
Could you plan a birthday party...would your Mom let you do that?...or take some friends somewhere with you?...There's some you are not explaining here....did you ask to have a party....communicate you want one, etc.? Not sure what you aren't saying...but there is something. Are your parents too busy...do you live with your brother?...at least he tried to make the day special for you.
I do know that some people go all their lives without a party....but you can give one, it doesn't have to be someone else...and invite your friends.....
My daughter had someone in her class in high school who had never had anyone remember her birthday, so my daughter brought her a birthday cake and she just couldn't believe it! So you watch for someone else who gets in the same spot...and count your blessings...you have a brother who cares about you....so be sure you remember his!
Will also tell you a story that happened to me. When my Mom turned 70, I threw a surprise birthday party for her with all her friends and relatives...we met at a restaurant, so she wouldn't know it was coming. And in the process, I found out that she had never in her whole life had a birthday party of her own....only one she shared with a friend when she was a child.....and I was shocked, and felt terrible that she had never told anyone...I went all those years before I thought to do it!
And she was just so surprised and loved every minute...and people came a long way to celebrate her birthday!
So Happy Birthday! You are now a teenager...so use those years wisely...they only come around once!

Aren't you lucky to have such a caring brother? Take a look at yourself and ask why he was the only one that remembered you. Things happen for a reason. Happy Birthday. I hope your next one will be better.

I think your brother gave you a wonderful gift! You should be very thankful that he remembered. When I read what your brother did for you I got a little misty-eyed to be honest. Sounds sort of like something my brother would do.

Maybe someone has a party planned that you'll find out about later.
