The Fountain of Youth is a legendary spring that reputedly restores the youth of anyone who drinks of its waters. Florida is said to be its location, and stories of the fountain are some of the most persistent stories associated with the state.

The city of St. Augustine, Florida is home to the Fountain of Youth National Archaeological Park, created as a tribute to the city's illustrious history at the spot where Ponce de León is traditionally said to have landed. Though the fountain situated there is not "the" Fountain, this does not stop tourists from drinking its water. The park exhibits native and colonial artifacts to celebrate St. Augustine's Timucuan and Spanish heritage.

There is no fountain of youth. All you can do is keep a youthful outlook, take care of your body, get plenty of rest, excercise, eat well and take vitamins. DHEA tablets help, but check with your doctor before taking them. Also, cell therapy now is great. I myself went to France and had shots of unborn sheep embryo. It restored me completely, and was a wonderful experience. Now they are finally starting to do the treatments here in the United States. Dr. Niehans started it in Switzerland, and people like President Eisenhower, Marlena Dietrich, Charles Chaplin and even Pope Pius had the treatment. As you get older it is great to stay youthful, but not to the point of being ridiculous. I see old women growing their hair long, wearing micro mini skirts, and using enough makeup to look like street walkers. With old men, I had to see pony tails, geled hair, mod clothing, earings etc., It does nothing but make people laugh behind your back. When I was young, you had to be careful at school how you dressed and had your hair. Today, you can paint your *** red and walk down main street and no one gives a damn. Just a little too liberal for me. However, this is better I guess that the strict rules we had. Youthfulness is a frame of mind also. A person should grow old gracefully, blend with the times, not be critical of the young, and not forget that they were young once and did things that were crazy. Ponce de Leon searched for the Fountain of Youth in Florida, but never found it. Enjoy your life, live it, and be happy!!

You had some good answers among the lot, geographically speaking.

Otherwise, we can only look to the fountain of youth within ourselves--most specifically, within our mind...never losing the inquisitiveness and adverturous nature of youth while using the wisdom of experience, as we age, to enhance those former-mentioned qualities of our youth.
