i'm full of crafty ideas:) here are a few

One idea I love: make or buy an invitation like this:
http://www.paperwares.net/i/Themes/20059I.jpg

then gather up some twigs and from white card stock cut out 1.5 x 1 inch rectangles and round out edge to make them look like marshmellows. make little slits in them and attach twigs and include them in invitations. You could include two in each invite and have the boys names or ages on the marshmellows.

If you don't like that idea I think raffea would work great with the invites and go along well with the "hay ride" them. A scarecrow would be cool with raffea tied aroud his neck or his straw hat.

Also an invitation in the shape of a pumkin with raffea tied around the stem would be nice.

Have fun planning!

Have you seen those small bales of hay in the craft stores? Print your invitations on yellow paper and wrap it around a bale of the hay. Slip it in a small box ( available in the craft stores) and send it off. You could do a web search to find instructions for a pop up card with a campfire theme. ( a bonfire might be too big for a card). Do a web search for hayride ideas ( I know this has nothing to do with the invitations), but there are soooo many fun ideas out there. I drifted around for about 20 minutes just looking at them.

I found three websites with lots of good birthday party invitations. These sites, http://www.cardspersonalized.com, http://www.cardsshoppe.com and
http://www.express-invitations.com

Each has all kinds of birthday invitations, and have their invitations cards divided into categories adult and children. This makes it easy to find the type party invitation I was looking for. Plus they have lots of wording ideas, verses and sayings to help you.

The thing I liked most about these sites is that I was able to find the image I wanted, then add my personalized message using the ink color, typestyle and fonts I wanted, and then instantly preview my new card. WOW, was that cool!! They also printed and shipped my order the same day I ordered. I could not find any other place on the internet who did that. They are GREAT!!

A scare Crow sitting on bail of hay surrounded by pumpkins
on the invitations Saying " It's a Birthday Hay Ride in October for ... come and join us ! " and then do a replica of the invitation by your gate or front porch. Line up a bunch of pumpkins all along your driveway. and bake pumpkin pies ;

I would say little pumpkins with the info on them, but I dont think they would mail well.

Another option would be to send scarcrows - or check out halmark. They have some really ingenious postcards now that are incredible.

Try going to a local scrapbooking store... they seem to always have things for just about every theme you can think of and you can kind of create it as you go!
