My experience is that most people do care about environmental issues.

In fact I would say that most people appear to have very strong opinions about environment issues and really do care about those issues.

Just because not everyone agrees with you on an environmental issue does not mean that they do not care about environmental issues.

One of the main reasons is because lazyness.
If people care about the enviroment they run the risk of interfering with the convience that comes with living in this modern age. People are so lazy they are poisoning both themselves and the enviroment! Processed food is easier and faster, but it's also incredibly unhealthy and the processing of the food poisons the enviroment with pollution and thickens the O-zone layer's carbon. Driving is the same. People will drive to get to places they could easily walk to in about 10 minutes because it's faster. Other than hurting the enviroment with gas emissions they're getting fat and lazy.

Unfortunatly one of the other reasons is because it's 'cool' not to care.
If you care you can't buy that hummer that shows off how rich you are but also burns 100x more fuel than a normal car.
If you care you can't go on crazy shopping sprees and buy 100s of new outfits. TONS of carbon goes into manufacturing goods, and if people care they can't fufill their greed.

So basically if everyone stopped being lazy and greedy Global Warming wouldn't be a problem in a couple of years.
It only takes little changes to help save the enviroment! Check out www.davidsuzuki.org for more information on how you can help save our beautiful planet.

I think a lot of people do care but from my own experiences, the environmental information that is easy to follow/understand usually seems to be hard to find and not advertised enough which can turn a lot of people away from this issue.

I have lots of info that I think you will find quite helpful and enlightening:

http://360.yahoo.com/blorm_multaeeneea_lavacom (For tons of inspirational info)

http://ecowellness.multiply.com/ (For all the environmental info)

Let us all strive for a greener/brighter future by helping to create a solid foundation for future generations to build upon, so we can hand them a beautiful world, filled with never ending awe and wonders!!

Where peoples differences and uniqueness are accepted, where we all live as one, helping one another so that we can all play our own mysteriously beautiful melodies in the never ending, awe inspiring, song of life :-)

I truly have faith in humanity and believe that someday our lives and the world in which we live will truly be transformed for the better.

There is very little we can do to fix the environmet. The damage already done is too great and the human population keeps growing, so we might as well just live it up during our short time on this planet.

Because it's easier than admitting we have major problems.
If the sheeple took the time to educate themselves, then they would be forced to take action, and that might mean getting up off the couch, or giving up the Hummer.

I suppose they just keep on going to churches mosques and synagogs and pray to an almighty bull=8*^ thing and come home and proudly take everything they want because someone told them to go forth and multiply and make filth. As they selfishly say god tells me I can have it all when Ime dead. What did jesus tell us about protecting our planet Earth. Most people believe god will make everything alright.

Some people are against almost everything; especially if it will do some good. We have to do our part by doing what we can. Every little bit helps. Thank goodness for people like you.

some folks think other things are more important, we all live in our own little worlds, some folks feel like they have no power, and they are right, only because they think that way. other refuse to belive that we can't save our world, we will because we say we will and will never stop trying, every little bit helps.
