Dear friend , believe me one can catch TB anywhere basically. Hospital environment may be the safest place but not fool proof.The person sitting next to you in the clinic coughing his lungs out may actually be harboring the deadly organism, you never know.
The second part of your question was the manifestation of symptoms.TB is a slow growing disease and it is highly unlikely to manifest within 10days. However it can present in acute forms which can pose a threat to life on an immediate basis like TB of the meninges(covering of brain), TB in the blood stream(Miliary TB),adrenal TB .
A person infected with TB may NOT be symptomatic.It is only when he is symptomatic that he approaches the doctor, until then his infective state is literally unknown.

No. Anyone with active TB will be isolated in hospital so the chances of picking it up are practically non existent. And the symptoms definitely wouldn't manifest within 10 days. What symptoms are you talking about anyway?

TB symptoms don't manifest in ten days, it is a slow growing bacillus. In a healthy person, it can take years to develop, in an immune compromised person it can take a few weeks, but ten days? no way.
