If you're talking about ingredients like "beef flavoring" they actually are made from beef.

No...meat seasonings are just a combination of spices and herbs that are thought to be most complimentary to whatever type of meat they are designed for. So, if you are making something with vegetarian "ground beef" or "chicken," go ahead and use the seasonings designed for the real thing; no meat in them whatsoever.

As long as they dont contain meat, they are fine. You just have to be careful, because sauces etc. contain meat extract, or beef dripping for example.
OXO Cubes also contain Beef Extract, but they have a vegetarian one available. If it doesnt contain meat - its okay, because nothing has been killed!

chicken or beef seasonings are just spices. There are no meat or chicken in them
Now if a sauce that states beef or chicken then that is different

No, as long as they contain only herbs and spices and don't contain ingredients that are derived from meat and animal products.

If you mean flavorings made from animal ingredients, sure its the same thing-an animal still died in the process. Artificially flavored or "naturally" flavored stuff could mean anything, but most are animal derived.

Most have animal byproducts in them, so no, they would not be vegetarian.
