Condoms are NEVER 100% effective in preventing ANY STDs, including HPV. Condoms HELP prevent the spread of STDs, but it's not a guarantee that if a person uses one they won't contract a STD.
Also, herpes and HPV can be spread by DIRECT skin to skin contact. So, even if he was wearing a condom, it was only covering his penis and NOT his entire genital area. Just the rubbing back and forth of the genital areas during sex if enough to spread HPV, regardless of whether or not a condom was used.
And, uncircumcised men, along with circumcised men, can STILL get STDs. It doesn't matter if they are uncircumcised or not.
If a person is going to have sex there is ALWAYS a chance they could contract a STD if the other person has one. The only thing that is 100% effective in preventing STDs or pregnancy is abstinence.

I believe that even while wearing a condom a mans testicles still come in contact with the vagina and vaginal fluids. When this happens HPV can be transmitted from the testicles to the vagina and vise-versa. That is why when I caught my bf having sex with some girl he works with, I made him wear a condom and cut a small hole in all his sweats. The hole was just big enough for his condom covered penis to come through. I guess a sheet or piece of fabric would have worked too. Anyway, I also made him go to the doc and get tested for everything. I also tested just to be safe. I was relieved that he and I were both free of any STDs. I am sorry that you contracted hpv. HUMAN PAPILLOMAVIRUS (HPV)
HPV affects both women and men.
• Anyone who has any kind of sexual activity involving genital contact with an infected person can get HPV—-intercourse isn't necessary.
• Many people who may have HPV may not show any signs or symptoms, so they can pass the virus on without even knowing it.
HPV is easily transmitted. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) estimates that 20 million people in the United States already had HPV in 2005.
According to the CDC, the only way you can totally protect yourself against HPV is to avoid any sexual activity that involves genital contact. HPV Types 6, 11, 16, and 18 account for the majority of HPV-related clinical diseases.
†Number represents more than 30 genital HPV types, not just HPV Types 6, 11, 16, and 18.
THERE'S GOOD NEWS
Being vaccinated with GARDASIL before coming into contact with a person who has HPV may help protect you against HPV Types 6, 11, 16, and 18.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT GARDASIL
HPV Types 16 and 18 cause 70% of cervical cancer cases, and HPV Types 6 and 11 cause 90% of genital warts cases.
GARDASIL may not fully protect everyone and does not prevent all types of cervical cancer, so it is important to continue regular cervical cancer screenings.
Anyone who is allergic to the ingredients of GARDASIL should not receive the vaccine. GARDASIL is not for women who are pregnant.
GARDASIL will not treat cervical cancer and genital warts, and will not protect against diseases caused by other HPV types.
GARDASIL is given as 3 injections over 6 months and can cause pain, swelling, itching, and redness at the injection site, fever, nausea, and dizziness.
Only a doctor or healthcare professional can decide if GARDASIL is right for you or your daughter.

No , I think it should be a personal choice, not mandatory.I believe young women should be educated as to the benefits and the risks involved with getting the vaccine, and allowed the opportunity to make an informed decision.I find the argument put forth by the Christian conservatives disturbing and bias, for the same the reasons you have put forward. A legal stance based on personal freedoms would have been a better course of action. Health care should not be legislated under any circumstances.Once we start allowing the government to start dictating mandatory vaccines, the fallout could be a universal threat to personal liberty. Mandatory birth control, mandatory verichips, state sponsored abortions, uniform health care just to name a few. Legislation of that type is one step away from communism.

First the last sentence, what uncircumcised has to do with doing the right thing and using a condom, and either he got that from the girl or he is lying to you.You only get hpv from unprotected sex. This std can cause cancer in women, and you can get a vaccine for this, go see a doctor if you already did so, and inquire about this vaccine, make sure he go to get informed.

here is the facts:
first, condoms do not protect anyone from any thing except gohorehea. That is not my opinion, but two double blind studies by HEW (whatever it has become) and the CDC sponsored the second.
Next, HPV is a virus, it is darn hard to kill. You need to start treatment and stay with it for as long as you need. You need to abstain from sex until it is gone.
I'm going by memory here, but I think outbreak free for 1 year is going to be determinate that you are free and clear, but 3 years is what medicine cites as free and clear.
if the dude was with this girl while with you, dump him. you don't need him bringing anything esle home.
and don't waste time get treatment now. I do not want to get into a lot of detail, you can look this stuff up, but don't wait go first thing in the morning and get meds to start treating it.
dump the guy anyway, what the hey, he can re-infect you, get rid of him.

Well according to numerous websites it states that one can transmit the HPV virus through oral sex anal sex and regular sex.. So if either you or your boyfriend has had oral sex with other individuals or yourself that's how you got the disease IN OTHER words you cannot get the virus with out it having some sexual activity.....
Most likely ORAL sex was the culprit.. especially since for some reason there are people don't consider is sexual activity..
Good luck to you it is treatable....and curable if caught..
