One of my co-workers is peddling a product by Life Force called Body Balance, which contains Aloe Vera, black cherry, honey and an exclusive blend of 9 sea vegetables. She looks amazing and all of my coworkers that have taken it have done great on it. However, I heard you are not supposed to digest aloe vera in any form (FDA 2000). Have you heard of anyone digesting aloe vera? Would you take it?

Aloe Vera Juice is found in health food stores (and even at Wal-Mart!) and people commonly ingest the juice for its "healing" properties.

I tried pure aloe vera juice. I personally didn't like it, but I can see it being palatable when mixed with other juices to sweeten the aloe vera juice. I had no problems drinking the juice other than not like the taste.

The concern over ingesting Aloe is it's high fiber and cellulose content (10x that of celery) and that it "may" over tax the digestive tract. There are similar concerns over Burdock root and Pyslyum as well as flax seed. It really varies from person to person. If you have a sensitive tract you may not want this beverage as it can cause diarrhea in some (read the cautions) but if you have a strong constitution this supplement should have no ill effect. Good Luck!

My mom has really smooth skin and she does not get blemishes.Every morning she swallows a cube of aloes and her family does it too and they are all healthy and have wonderful skin. She says that aloes cleanses you from the inside so it shows on the outside.I have yet to muster the courage to do this daily.

Oh yeah, I've eaten it. In Japan it was my favourite drink, grape juice with aloe chunks. Wow, awsome!

i'm preganant and have terrible heartburn and got a tip from someone to drink aleo vera juice.. i bought the pure form from the vitamne shoppee, and drink it straight, sometimes i add it to apple juice, or even make ice tea out of it.. the one i got is 'distilled' and doesn't have that bitter taste other pure ones have.

its also great with other digestive problems!

any my doctor said it was fine to take.

My family knows these older family who drink aloe every day, and they are extremely healthy. I can't guarantee it tastes good, but supposedly it's awesome for you. Good luck!
