I would have thought watermelon was ok to eat, but it's pure sugar and no if you are diabetic it is not ok to eat large quantities of watermelon... my mothers doctor accused me of trying to kill her with it, lol!!! Any fruit is a natural sugar and should be eaten in small quantities. Strawberries you can eat one an a half cups for a serving, if your into quantity, stick to the berry....

watermelon is ok to have even though its high in carbs its mainly water and it does not stay in your system long enough to make a big impact on you sugar levels but with anything else you have to eat in moderation

Watermelon is fine. It has a high Carb count but its carb index is very, very low. You would have to eat 10lbs of it to get a high fructose dose. It is almost completely water. Becareful with cantelope though.
