Yes, heat lightning can kill you. Actually, scientifically, there is no difference between "normal" lightning and "heat" lightning. It's all the same deadly electricity...billions of volts, tens of thousands of amps, tens of thousands of degrees Fahrenheit.
We generally call it heat lightning because it's lightning that occurs when it's hot outside (as in, not during a winter storm), not raining on you, and something that's just in the clouds. When it's not raining on you and you see lightning, it's probably distant lightning and may be too far away to hear its thunder. But that's not true for someone closer, to them it's just normal lightning. But whatever we call it, it's still dangerous. Lightning bolts have been known to travel 30 to 60 miles through the air - which can be beyond the horizon. So, if you're *really* unlucky and standing in just the wrong spot, you could be struck by lightning without even seeing the clouds. Golfers make nice lightning rods and have suffered just this fate in the past.
Just for fun, during the next lightning storm nearby turn a radio to any AM radio station...you'll hear brief surges of noise whenever a lightning bolt goes off.

Any lightening can kill U. Not from a direct hit. The lightning generates a magnetic pulse that induces electricity into every metal. Any ling wire is very dangerous.
