and your point is...?
plants don't feel pain. They are not tortured o become food. They are a renewable resource that is not gobbling up fossil fuel in their production. They don't cause cancer, diabetes or osteporosis. They do not have to be loaded with antibiotics and hormones to grow.
Not vegan saint.
Vegan smart.

Gurvinder- animals might desire to devour living issues to proceed to exist because of the actuality that we dont have chloroplasts meaning we gained't carry out photosynthesis. All existence on earth falls under one in all 5 kingdoms and vegetarians and vegans can devour freely from 4 of those 5.

When I saw the question, I thought this would be like a parody... guess I was wrong.
I mean, seriously, how do you even argue with something so utterly ridiculous?
Well, I guess the asker's right. Instead of eating those plants, I'll go eat some animals. Wait... by doing that I'd be responsible for the deaths of ten times the plants! Oops! Guess I'll just commit suicide by starvation.

I can't believe some of the rubbish put here. If you want to be Vegetarian then good for you as long as it's done for the right reasons. Vegan is not a healthy diet.
Plants do respond to pain and is well documented that plants respond to being hit by sending electrical signals. Plants also communicate when they are in pain to other plants.
Not sure how an animal uses up fossil fuel (if you mean cooking then i must be really bad as I cook vegetables too), but meat is also a renewable resource.
Diabetes is caused by obesity (which everyone can be) or genetics (again not caused by meat). You are just as likely to get cancer being Vegan as you are a meat eater. If that's you main worry then Water is killing you why do you drink it? osteoporosis (fragile bones), is a genetic condition, would surely be more common in Vegan as Calcium found in Milk would help against this.
Plants aren't loaded with antibiotics and hormones, but they are loaded with pesticides and arsenic. GM foods are happily eaten in the US whilst banned throughout Europe as a health risk.
If you do go Vegetarian or Vegan then you miss out on a lot of important vitamins, minerals and amino acids. These can almost be found in plants but a very careful diet is needed to make sure absorption is correct to recreate the required mix.

I agree, vegans shouldn't have a holier-than-thou attitude. No one is perfect and there are a lot of things besides diet that determine someone's moral character.
About plants.. Unlike humans and animals, plants lack a central nervous system, brain, pain receptors, and so on. They don't suffer. But if you're really concerned about plants feeling pain, I'd go vegetarian. We save many more plants by eating them directly, rather than by funneling them through farmed animals.

oh won't you people come off of your stupid arguments.
#1. We have to eat SOMETHING. You don't want to, go right ahead.
#2. Plants have no brain or central nervous system. Therefore they cannot experience: Pain, emotions, fear, etc.
#3. Cows, Pigs, etc.. CAN experience pain, emotions, fear just like dogs, cats, etc. Yes, I can prove it.
The choice is pretty simple really.
