Has anyone ever had one? What did your guest think of it? How many people did you have? Where did you get your kit from?

I've had several. The games tell you how many guests can participant. It is usually 8, but can vary. Everyone always loves them and really gets into character.
The games are available at Toy-R-Us. If you want some general info, do a search for 'murder mystery party" and you will find lots of links.

I did one that had a rock and roll high school theme. It was really fun. The party kit tells you how many to invite, gives you invitations to send, suggests a menu and walks you through step by step. You should do one. I got my kit at Toys R Us ( but it was many years ago ). Have Fun.

I think it is really creative and cool, although you have to consider what kind of guests you are inviting.
Some people don`t like those kind of parties, so first of all think about their preferences.
Anyways, in my opinion it is a great idea and lots of fun
