having a 40th bday party for my boyfriend. Dont want to go with the typical "over the hill" decor. Have any ideas? Thought about having some of those life size cardboard cut outs custom made from a pic of him when he was young? Any info on that? Or any other ideas I could do using old pics of him? Any help greatly appreciated!!!!

How about a blast from the past party going back to the era he was born. Think Disco Party or Hippy Party and have everyone dress up. Also for his pictures upload them to peekabo.com and create a photobook guestbook. Put pictures on everyother page so people can view it as the sign it.

Where do you live? What is the weather like? What are your interests? These questions would really help alot in what to do. If you have snow go with your friends to a tubing hot spot. You slide down and ride up! Or maybe you have the beach and then you could do a beach volleyball tournment type thing. How about going for makeovers somewhere like Macy's or Younkers Clinique counters?! Or find a salon that will use you all as models and color, cut, makeup, the works. Or go for pedicure/manicures.

What a great idea. How about a huge board full of his life pictures with one huge one for people to write their comments on and another to play a silly pin- the- nose- on the- birthday- boy game. You can even have pictures of him transferred to balloons, if there is time. And while you are at it, have his photo put on T-shirts and send one out to each guests to wear when they arrive at the party. Have fun.

Check with stores like Kinkos. They really do all kinds of custom. What a great idea....hope it doesn't cost too much.
