my hematocrit was low 35.8 and my hemoglobin was 12.1. I have low hematocrit and a normal hemoglobin. Anyone know why this kind of thing occurs?

Normal range for hematocrit is 34.9--44-5, so you are on the low end, but entirely normal.

Your hematocrit should be roughly 3 times the hemoglobin--so you are fine. Also lab arror can be up to + or minus a few percent. I would not worry too much unless your HCT gets much lower and the gap widens (that would mean possibly big cells with full complement of HGB).

The hematocrit (Ht or HCT) and packed cell volume (PCV) are measures of the proportion of blood volume that is occupied by red blood cells.

Hemoglobin, also spelled haemoglobin and abbreviated Hb, is the iron-containing oxygen-transport metalloprotein in the red blood cells of the blood in vertebrates and other animals.

Menacingly growl some thing like 'you ought to verify the guy who did this' in many circumstances. And swagger plenty. With bowlegs, such as you spend greater time on a hog than your ft. And glower. do no longer overlook the glower. i prefer a tale for the burn on the returned of my hand and the three inch long gouge I controlled to inflict on my ankle at a similar time as shaving. each and every thing else has finally healed. attempting to describe neurological issues bores each and every person in contact. Any recommendations?

Your HCT isn't terribly low...it's likely that you have a mild case of iron deficiency anemia. Consult your doctor and consider taking an iron supplement.
