No. Unless there was an autopsy performed, you really don't know what the cow died from. He could've had cancer or something. Not safe. But I do understand what you're saying. And the answer is no for me. The only way I could see me doing that, is if I was deserted with NO food BUT the cow and he was my last option. Even then, I don't know how to create fire without matches, so I would probably just starve to death because I sure as heck wouldn't eat him raw.

Nope.
There is kind of a "veil of familiarity" that exists in our life that prevents us from seeing the reality of or thinking about our surroundings.
You know how you can go for a week, or even a month or more in your daily life in the exact same place, but one day you take a moment to stop and look around and you realize that the world around you is truly beautiful. Like maybe you noticed the night sky or a beautiful field near you. That is because you took the time to notice your surroundings outside of something you pass every day to get to where you are going.
Well, now that it has been so long since I have taken part in the familiar practice of eating animals, I see "meat" for what it is. I see it as a dead and decaying body. Even with all the *clean* names we give it and the fancy packaging, I see the cut of flesh of a once living being, and I know it is the same as the flesh inside me.
Sorry for the odd answer, but it is the best way I can explain at the moment that I don't look at meat or a dead cow and see "food" or something I should put in my body.
:)

Absolutely not. Cow flesh is bad for you regardless of the age at which the cow died. I would like to lessen my chances of getting terrible disease and the most thorough studies in the world show that the less animal protein you ingest the less likely you are to get diseases such as cancer and heart disease.
The only way I would eat any animal from this point in my life on is if I were literally starving to death and my survival depended on it.

No, dead cow flesh does not make an appetizing choice for me. More and More meat turns me off. It is the perspective at which we look at things. I once thought of meat as healthy and life giving, I now see it as dead animal flesh that has hormones, antibiotics and quite possibly feces in it. Just pass the broccoli to me!!

I guess that would depend on what it died of.
I think what you're getting at is that it would be morally okay for you to eat an animal that died a natural death, but you don't condone killing them early.
My answer is "yes, if it's healthy, and tasty". So, if the meat product isn't compromised, and I won't die of sickness or disease, then it would be a perfectly acceptable way to eat.

No it was still a living breathing thing with a soul. To me that is like asking me if I would eat my Grandmother if she died of natural causes. Thanks but No Thanks!
