Unfortunately not. The bodies of the fish need to be processed in order to extract the oil. The good news is you can get the beneficial Omega 3 fatty acids from other sources as well. Flaxseed, Canola Oil and Walnuts are sources, but you have to consume quite a bit because the body doesn't metabolize them very well.

Algae is also a good source, though it sounds a bit gross. Crypthecodinium cohnil and Schizochytrium are two strains of algae used as a source for supplemental omega-3s. They are typically grown in fermenters under controlled conditions. The algae are dried and the oil extracted for use in supplements. Omega-3 fats from algae are classified as generally recognized as safe by the FDA, and can be used to fortify foods.

You do not need "fish" oil to get your good omegas. Flax Oil or Salba. I use Udo's Choice 3-6-9 Blend, it has all 3 of the good omegas in it. I even make salad dressing with it. It's very mild.

Slainté (to your health)

Get to a doctor, now. I rather doubt that you are allergic to fish oil, but you never know. I'd imagine the fish oil wouldn't take FIVE DAYS to affect you, either. Get to a doctor--you've got some other problem going on, and it could be serious.

Nope, fish oil comes from the bodies of the dead fish. It's like trying to get bacon grease without hurting a pig. :) If you were wanting to take those fish oil pills or something, try looking for algae pills instead, same thing but not an animal product.

Hemp seed, like flax and walnuts, also has omega 3 fatty acids.

I want to warn you to never, never, NEVER heat your flax oil. Keep it in the fridge. Use it only for salad dressings, drizzling on vegetables, or in a smoothie.
