I'm concern about my husband using a steroid for working out and having high blood presure and taking meds to control it...
He takes the steroid shot once a week so, he doesn't over use it but, I know he should not use it at all...due to health reasons & it's illegal.

I want to know if he's more in danger because of his health?

In how many mg/week e.g. 250mg or less, he is overusing it, unless advised by a physician. It is more psychological.
THE COMPLICATIONS ARE:
Benign or malignant hypertrophy of prostate.
His testis can get atrophied in long run.

Try to convince him excessive use is not good or is he having some underlying pathology of testis.

Depends on what steroid he is taking. I take testosterone (legal Dr. prescribed for me) and also have to watch my blood pressure, and as long as I follow directions it is fine. But if I bump it up or take it too soon then I'll get a BP spike. So especially if he is taking one of the more dangerous steroids like a street mix or something, he could get himself in trouble. Plus, he does know that his testes will shrink and become useless if he takes too much steroid, right?

Yes. Testosterone and other anabolic steriods cause increases in the number and density of red blood cells, which can lead to higher blood pressure and stroke.

They actually MIGHT raise BP,however, it is possible to manage it if he is seeing a doctor who is aware of his supplementation and is monitoring him.
That's how I do it, always find a Doc who is willing to monitor you while on the juice. He could be safe, no need to FREAK out an listen to the extreme possibilities as if they are the norm.
