Gamma Rays contain the greatest amount of energy. Check out the electromagnectic spectrum for more details. The shorter the wavelength the more energy it has.

The higher the frequency of a ray, the shorter the wavelength and therefor the more energy. The highest frequency ray that we have discovered is called "cosmic ray background radiation" , which has a far higher energy than gamma rays. The highest frequency is 10000000000000000000000000 hertz, while the highest frequency of gamma rays is 1000000000000000000000 hertz, which is much lower (three place values)

Higher frequency rays carry more energy than lower frequency rays. Visible light carries more energy than radio waves, X-rays carry more energy than visible light and gamma rays carry more energy than X-rays.
