1. replace one or more incandescent light bulbs with compact fluorescent bulbs
2. replace old appliances with new Energy Star ones
3. replace your old furnace and/or air conditioner with new ones (a new furnace will save you 50% on your monthly heating bill and a new AC will save you 50% on your monthly electricity bill)
4. take shorter showers using cooler water
5. always wash cloths in cold water (cold water cleans cloths just as well as warm and hot water)
6. recycle your old computer
7. plant trees, lots of trees
8. recycle as much as possible
9. use a clothsline instead of a drier on hot sunny days
10. always wash cloths and dishes with full loads
11. buy a new car with an MPG (miles per gallon) of at least 30
12. use an electric lawn mower, weed whacker, and leaf blower instead of gas powered (one of these gas powered machines emit more greenhouse gases than a single car)
13. unplug any electronic devices that aren't in use
14. turn off the lights upon exiting a room
15. adjust your thermostat to about 75 degrees in the summer and 66 degrees in the winter

turning off lights,

TURN OFF YOUR COMPUTER ( Not let it on sleep, just turn it off)
Recycle,
turn off fans when not in use
lower air conditioner tempatures in winter to 69ºF
raise air conditioner tempatures in summer to 75ºF
If you leave for vacation, UNPLUG ALL items from the wall, eccept your fridge, stove(if electric) and other big appliances.
Using these will for sure save you energy and lower you electric bill.

I mow the lawn with my horse

most of our clothes are hand woven out of hemp.
shoes for kids are made from leather road kill sandals and tires for bottom of shoes.
repaired old shopping cart for kids to collect empty soda cans.
Beds are old newspaper & tree Moss with hemp covering. furniture is made from logs and tree stumps.
Floor carpet is woven out of brightly colored rags woven in circle.
My job is picking seed pine cones for forestry dept.
