They're probably talking about a dissection, a splitting apart of the walls of the aorta. It IS a serious condition.
Treatment depends on the location and the severity. For example, if it's in the thoracic (chest) aorta, then strict blood pressure control may be the only treatment. Other locations may require surgery.

you don't have to be an atheist to believe that the self repair ability of cells came from evolutionary processes. Many christians believe that. In logic debate this is a arguement adhominim-arguement against the man--it's a debate techique used when a person can't logically overcome the othersides arguements--so you effectively change the subject to an attack on a person or person(s). Another similair technique is the "red herring" where you change the subject by moving totally off point. As you use both of these in your various questions I am assuming you have no logical way to defeat the evolutionary position. Therefore you essentially minimize yourself without any of the rest of us saying a word.

Aortic dissection is a very serious illness. Depending on the location of the tear depends on the treatment. Some aortic dissections are treated medically with antihypertensive drugs. Others are treated by surgery. The ones that are treated with antihypertensive drugs can heal themselves.

It is a highly lethal condition carrying a mortality rate of 99% if it begins to bleed, get him an aortic stent before it's too late. This is the only solution.
Don't take risk on medication/s.
