its too early actually to assess if you are at risk at this age.if you are really concerned about assessing the risk then try something like genetic risk assessment.also bear in mind consuming sugar might not cause diabetes by itself.it is rather a combination of physiological and eating habits.

I was a very active teen and adult with no family history of diabetes. I became overweight by 25 pounds in my 30's and always had an insatiable sweet tooth, couldn't get enough sugar, love the stuff. I turned up with Type 2 diabetes in my 30's and now in my 50's am on insulin. Cut way back on your sugar intake and get lots of exercise. Try to make a lifestyle change of eating more fruits and vegetables and less carbs. Watch your weight and you could be okay. I sure hope so, having diabetes is no picnic and once you get it you have it for the rest of your life.

I'm a 45 year old woman and was recently diagnosed as being a borderline diabetic. My doctor prescribed some medication, but before filling it I decided to do some research on the internet which led me to the methods. After reading this ebook and applying the methods, my scepticism turned to 100% belief. I noticed that my energy levels increased significantly and I felt more rested in the morning, my symptoms started going away.

I am very happy to tell you that I have been feeling better than I have felt in years and my doctor informed me that he will be taking me off my prescriptions if I keep this up.

I recommend you use the Type 2 Diabetes Destroyer to naturally reverse your diabetes.

It sounds like you are just a normal teenager. You can not become diabetic through diet. If it will happen, it will happen. With no family history you have some risk of becoming diabetic someday but I would think it is very low. As long as you stay thin you should be ok.

anyone who consumes a lot of sugar all the time is at risk because after a while of pure sugar in your system, your pancris (probably spelled it wrong, pronounced like i wrote it) can't digest sugar as well, then it will eventually stop, then you have diabeties, type 1 or 2.
I suggest, but I'm no doctor, but I'm at high risk for diabeties, that you cut down your sugar, to having 1 Dr. Pepper a day, and more water. It's recommended that you drink 64 ounces of water a day (that's I think 1/2 a gallon) of water...if you like diet sodas, drink diet Doctor Pepper, I thik it tastes the same.

Anyway, talk to your doctor about it...but it seems like your in really good shape.

You are at risk for developing Type II diabetes. Type II diabetes is usually the result of an unhealthy, high sugar diet. Family history does not matter when it comes to Type II diabetes. Anyone can develop it. By consuming too much sugar, you may eventually make your body become insulin-resistant.

Cut back on the soda. Drink more water.

Here's the wikipedia article about Type II diabetes:

u dun have family history of diabetes but that doesn't mean u wont get it. High input of refine sugar and calories always put u in risk of getting Type 2 diabetes... No family history simply means your chances of getting the disease is lower compared to those with family history.... but it doesn't mean u wont get it. Cheers
