I've planned a lot of parties for clubs and groups i'm in at school, and five dollars doesn't really get you anything but a good DJ and a dark area to dance in. If this party is some kind of fundraiser, you could sell chips, drinks, and candy. Last year for the homecoming party I helped plan, we sold chicken wings and pizza also. To make the party successful plan wisely and advertise a lot. If you don't get the word out, then its going to be a drab. Oh, and giving teenagers alcohol at a widely advertised party is not a good idea, especially if you rent out a party place because most will require you to have some kind of security (cops).

Hire a DJ - music makes everyone happy. Buy some pizzas, soft drinks and big bowls of candy. If there's any money left, use it for a cleaning service the next day.
