There are three kinds of lice that infest humans.
1. Head lice http://www.micropest.com/photos/head-lice-louse.jpg. Found, of course, on the heat. Mostly infest children.
2. Body lice http://www.howtogetridofstuff.com/images/howtogetridoflice/body-louse.jpg. These lice live in folds of clothing and move to the person's back and sides to feed, then go back into the clothing. More common among the homeless.
3. Pubic lice or "crabs". http://www.knowledgerush.com/wiki_image/d/d8/Phthirus_pubis.jpg. These infest the pubic area. They can also infest beards, moustaches, eyebrows, and leg hair. They may live in the scalp and hair at the back of the neck too. They are, however, different than head lice.
Pubic lice are spread by sexual contact. They may also be spread by sharing towels, clothing and bedding with an infested person. You will be able to feel them crawling; you will itch; and you can see them.
Pubic lice are not harmful but they can make you feel unclean. You can get a bacterial infection from scratching them. If you or someone you know is infested, see this website for steps to take:

They are a parasite that are transmitted from person to person usually through sexual contact. They prefer to live in warm, moist, dark areas such as the groin area. Untreated they cause a very itchy rash that can become infected. You can see them if you look through your pubic hair for a small mite resembling a crab.
Treatment should be by a prescription from a doctor but I do know of a person that eliminated them with over-the-counter hair lice treatments.

If the clothing is relatively new, you may be able to remove some or all the stain by using warm water and baking soda. Wet the area and sprinkle the soda and gently rub the soda in. Wah the article as usual. I have used dish soap for more stubborn stains. For white clothing, you can try dye remover, Just follow directions.Treatments should be done asap after removing clothing. Baking soda is the best thing around for removing body odors from clothing that I've ever used. Sprinkle it dry into stinky sport shoes and leave overnite. Good luck.

crabs are like little lice in your pubic hair. Unprotected sex is usually how you get it. You should run to the clinic asap.
