yes. you can become pregnant at any time with whatever disease you may have obtained. then you have a very high risk of spreading it to your offspring. to eliminate most of this threat a C-section would be an option.

Of course.
Herpes doesn't affect a woman's ability to become pregnant at all!
The only concern with genital herpes and pregnancy is the chance of the virus being passed to the baby during delivery. If the mother is having an outbreak at the time of delivery, the baby can rub against the herpes sores as it is coming through the birth canal, causing the baby to contract the virus. Being born with herpes is EXTREMELY rare though and can be avoid COMPLETELY with a C-section if the mother is having an outbreak.
If the mother is NOT having an outbreak at the time of delivery then it is perfectly fine to have a normal vaginal birth.
If a woman has genital herpes they should definitely let their doctor know so they can take special precautions if necessary during delivery.

Yes a women can become pregnant when she has herpes, she just can't give birth naturally. a vaginal birth is out of the question because if the baby passes through the birth canal during an outbreak then the baby will become blind, or may even die. They will suggest doing a c-section, that's the only option. the baby is totally safe, unless their is a break of the sac with amniotic fluid where the baby resides. Also your doctor will give medications to you while you are at the hospital

Yes you can still get pregnant.
The risk of your baby contracting Herpes is actually lower if you are already infected before pregnancy.
You need to talk with your OB or Midwife about the risks and discuss the options for giving birth. If you are having an outbreak when you go into labour you may be advised to have a C-section. The most common cause of infection passing between mother and baby is vaginal birth during an outbreak.
If the baby is infected it can be treated but there is a small risk of long term damage. check out this site for more detailed info http://www.herpes.com/pregnancy.shtml

Yes, when you have genital herpes, you can still have children. And despite the other reply, even if you have no physical sign of an outbreak, you can still be spreading the disease. Your doctor will discuss options on how to prevent the spread to your child. There is always something they can do. They have become much more aware on how to prevent it over the years, so the chances of it being spread to a child, are slim to none.

They sure can, all there parts are in working order just like everyone elses, unless they are sterile. They will just have to take extra precautions to make sure that the baby does not get infected.
Example: Scheduling a Cesarean section instead of having a vaginal birth.
