90% vegetarian = 0% vegetarian.
If you eat flesh, you are not vegetarian.
And no you cannot eat fish and be a vegetarian.
They are animals, animals are flesh.
If you eat flesh, you are not a vegetarian.

If you are eating meat only 10% of the time, then you are on the right track. It is better than eating meat all of the time. Of course, the best situation is to be 100% veggie! You will be healthier just by cutting back on your meat eating. If only the rest of the world would do that. People know that I am vegan and they often tell me that they don't eat very much meat and/or eat if very rarely. However, they are not vegetarian because they do eat it occasionally. So no, you would not be a vegetarian. But cutting back on it is a great start. Maybe you will decide to go veggie 100%?

Something % sounds really weird. The thing is, you don´t have to label yourself! If you eat meat some of the time, then say you do, don´t go around using a label that doesn´t fit.
Me, I´m a vegetarian, but when I was only starting out, I went on holiday with this other family. They really didn´t understand what being vegetarian was all about so they were like "But you can eat fish, right? I know lots of vegetarians that eat fish, so you can eat fish if you´re a vegetarian, ok?" That was weird. But since they paid for quite a lot of my expenses and I was only starting anyway, I thought that eating fish for one week would be ok. I didn´t say I was eating vegetarian then, though. And after that, I haven´t touched meat.
It doesn´t matter why you don´t eat meat, if you don´t, you´re a vegetarian.

if you eat meat in any situation you can't be vegetarian anymore.. because the point is to avoid all meat.. i know some these kind of people too and it confuses me.. because i don't eat meat at all.. then what am i if they veggies..??
Also because of these people there are those who ask from veggies: still, you eat chicken, right?.. never... :(
I think it doesn't matter if you like meat or not.. if you don't use it, because you're veggie, then you're vegetarian.. most of vegetarians don't like the taste of meat.. i think..
Still, if you like meat, but for some reason don't eat..i wouldn't call you veggie, because you need to make the decision for being a veggie.. The same goes with people, who are two weeks veggies and then not and then again...
compare it with smoking.. you can't be a smoker and a non-smoker at the same time.. right?

To quote the organization Vegan Outreach:
"If everyone just cut their meat consumption in half, billions of animals would be spared from suffering."
"Opposing the cruelties of factory farming is not an all-or-nothing proposition. By simply eating less meat, you can help prevent farmed animals from suffering."
"Years worth of eating less meat and eggs will prevent more suffering than a brief stint as a vegan, so it’s more important to take an approach you can sustain. You can make exceptions, such as eating meat on certain occasions, and still make a big difference by eating vegetarian the rest of the time."
So although people who eat meat only 10% of the time would not be called vegetarians, their food choices can still have a big impact.

NO! Can you be 90% honest? People who say they normally don't eat meat are 100% NOT vegetarian. If I went to a BBQ, and the only thing was something I "normally" (whatever that means) don't eat, I wouldn't eat it. The things I eat and don't eat are ALWAYS the same regardless of the situation.

No, you can't. It's a yes or no thing. People who eat any type of meat (including fish and chicken) can not technically be considered vegetarians, though they may call themselves that.
I'm a vegetarian myself, and I love the taste of meat. I just don't think it's right to kill to get it. It's not that we don't think it tastes good (thus the chicken flavored tofu and such), we're just not willing to eat something that once lived- at least, for the majority of veg. that are doing it for moral reasons :D.

Well, technically, you can't eat any meat and be vegetarian. Some of us incorporate vegetarian cooking in our regular diet, thus reducing animal protein in our food, and increasing healthier sources of protein and a better diet. So we say we're eating healthier, not that we eat vegetarian meals 8 out of every 10 days, and meat the other 2 days. There is no law on this, just a casual custom.

no, that's absolutely nonsense. either you are a vegetarian or you are not. if you still want to eat meat (occasionally) then don't call yourself a vegetarian. very hypocritical.
that's like saying someone is only "60% racist". makes no sense at all.

no, no one can claim to be 80% veg. you either are a vegitarian or not, if you eat meat at all rather its by choice, or because someone put a shotgun to ur head and told u too u arent a vegitarian. well mabie the part about the gun went a little far but u get the point right?
