Celibacy is like a pact with oneself, or a pledge, to not have intercourse, or other sexual activity. Priests are celibate. They do not masturbate, have oral sex or intercourse, or otherwise engage in sexual activities.
A better course may just be abstinence, which is just not having sex with other people (the only 100% effective birth control). No matter your past or your current situation, your sex-life choices are up to you.
Celibacy and abstinence don't have to have anything to do with your past, they only affect your future. If you declare yourself celibate (or become abstinent), that doesn't mean you have to be a virgin.

Celibacy means not to have sex. If you are not a virgin and you decide to be celibate for a time that is not stupid. Before my husband and I got married we already had two children together but because we had given our lives to God we didn't feel right continuing to have sex until we were married. So for two months we went without! I think it was romantic though.

"Celibacy" is one of those vague words that simply means a choice not to have sex. It can be a short lived choice, or a permanent one. You certainly can decide to remain "celibate" throughout your pregnancy and beyond if that's what you want to do.

You can be a "born again virgin". There is nothing silly or stupid about it. It is a way of acknowleging past behavior and renewing your commitment to take control of your own life. Good for you!!!

It means no more sex. Even if you have had sex before, you can still choose to live a celibate life.

Celibacy means no intercourse. You can masturbate but you cannot have intercourse at all.
