Relaxation and depending on the location there are usually many things to do so you never see much of the trailer or tent.

I did a lot of camping when I was younger...no travel trailer, no RV; just a tent, camp stove and supplies. Did a lot of fishing in places like Spirit Lake and Okoboji. Traveled all over the US in a VW microbus with the tent, supplies and the whole family packed in. Got to see a lot of things along the way. Some of the campgrounds had full facilities, others were quite primitive, but one just didn't mind, you were out there seeing things you might not see otherwise.
In most cases, it wasn't the campground you remember, but rather who you were with and the things you got to see during your travels.
I work for an RV Manufacturer now, class C, the type of self contained motor homes that use a van style cutaway chassis. They, too, are a nice way to travel...a regular home on wheels. No matter how you experience it, getting out and doing some camping is an wonderful experience.

We have a travel trailer and all the places we've been are tent/trailer grounds. Campgrounds may or may not have showers. RV parks may have full hook ups for your sewer and water. The campground we were in a few weeks ago no hook up. I've been in both with a travel trailer and quite.

Don't know much about trailer parks... lived in one when I was little... guess it was okay... But Camping... in a tent... I love it.. I like going somewhere diffrent everytime... keeps the adventure in it.. taking lots of family so we can visit and the kids can keep eachother busy and catch up... no TV or Xbox to fight over .. NO worrying... just lots of fun and relaxing.. and good food... I love grilling and eating outdoors.. Roadtrips are great too.. this year we camped just about an hour away from yosemite and went for a daytrip to see the waterfalls... oh what a sight... my kids loved it and will remember having to cross the river to get to a picnic spot...

camp grounds are mystical sitting by a campfire in the morning and at night except when all the city folk come out on weekends bringing their kids with bicycles and ghetto blasters echoing through the forest. Nothing nice about trailer parks unless you want to be in the audience of americas most wanted during filming

I've never been camping but I heard that when you rent a trailer at a campsite and you leave you're supposed to empty the sewer from your trailer into some pipe. If you don't do that then the next guy comes along and connects it up and gets crud all over his clothes. That's real nice (tongue in cheek kinda nice).

A relaxing time. Something you need to experience on your own to understand.
