I cleaned the bathroom, and I used a bleach water solution. My throat hurts a little bit and feels dry
Did I inhale some fumes, and if so what are the side effects? I nurse my daughter, so, I need to know asap. Thanks.

I hate germs too! I used a bleach and water solution. After I cleaned the tub, I scrubed it again with commet. I had the door shut because baby was sleeping and I didn't want to wake her. I guess next time, I will, open the window, even if the AC is on. Lol

I use strong, stinky detergents all the time, (I hate germs), and I use bleach regularly to wash floors etc and that happens to me every time. I'm thinking you did inhale the fumes, but store bought bleach is fairly weak compared to the industrial strength they use else where ie. slaughter houses etc. where they have to use face masks and eye protection. It probably just irritated your throat, nose, eyes and sinuses. Just get some fresh air and a cold drink and that should make you feel better. I usually get minor headaches but the fresh air usually makes it better. As for breast feeding, I can't see harm in it, but that I'm not 100% sure.
When I was younger, my mom would make us use Amonia NOT DILUTED and I lived through it lol, just maybe a few less brain cells.

yes u might have inhaled some fumes but there is nothing to worry as this is i feel is a temporary reaction of ur body towards the fumes. it has caused some irritation in ur nasal tract wait for some hours if the situation worsens and u start suffering from breathlessness then u can definitely move to the doctor without any delay. dont worry it shall be fine. even the same thing happened with me but i was fine after 1 day.

hungry eyes is pretty much on. don't mix bleach with other agents, and never with amonia, that can be a serious gaseous cocktail. as for you and the baby (breast milk) not to worry. any topical tissue affects in the throat will go away in a day or so especially if you have asthma or bronchitis which react more adversely to inhaled fumes. you may have a headache if you really inhaled a lot of the vapor but that to will go away. take a couple aspirin, no conflict here. one of the bigger concerns in inhalation of toxic gases is cardiac side affects. so if your heart rate is sky high or extremely low, or is very irregular, and you feel unstable then i'd say go to ER, but likely as not none of that is happening. your problem is noxious fumes and will go away on their own.

What was in the solution? NEVER mix bleach and any other chemical. The fumes are toxic!!! If you have an exhaust fan in your bathroom, turn it on, and shut the door. I'm not sure what other things you could do, but get out of there and take your pets... Maybe call 911?

Chlorine ( a constituent of bleach) can affect the body if it is inhaled or comes in contact with the eyes or skin. Liquid chlorine may cause severe irritation of eyes and respiratory tract with tearing, runny nose, sneezing, coughing, choking, and chest pain.

If you get it in your eyes, wash immediately with large amounts of water. Flush contaminated skin immediately with water. Move to a fresh air source if you are experiencing difficulty breathing.

To determine if you were exposed above recommended exposure limits would require monitoring devices. The OSHA limit is 1 ppm ( or 3 mg/m3).

Keep chlorine away from combustible substances and finely divided metals.

Chlorine will attack some forms of plastic, rubber or other coatings in its purest form.
