For drinks, have Shirley Temples (don't forget the cherry!) or a specialty drink (with your name/theme/colors included). E-mail me with your 1st name and the colors of your party and I will design a drink just for your party.

For food, everyone likes finger foods so keep it that way. Mini Pigs in Blankets, Frozen grapes, dixie (small disposable bathroom) cups with your favorite soup/chili/chowder in them.

OR, different "bars"/"buffets"

Taco Bar
Chilli bar (2 different kinds of chilli and all the toppings you can think of)
Sundae Bar
Smoothie Bar
Pizza Bar (mini pizza crusts, top your own pizza, your parent cooks them)

My favorite punch, served at all birthdays, is: equal parts Hawaiian punch and ginger ale, plus scoops of raspberry sherbert. It is so perfect there is no other punch I ever want to serve - except, when it's adults - only, I use champagne rather than ginger ale.

You could also make mock champagne cocktails with ginger ale and sorbet. Or serve sparkling apple cider. Garnish anything, even just soda, with a cherry and/or orange slice on a toothpick and you have something fancy and fun!

Easy shrimp appetizer: take 1 block of cream cheese on a plate. Cover with 1 tin canned tiny shrimp, smother in cocktail sauce. Squeeze lemon juice over it and sprinkle some dill. Serve with Ritz crackers. An old favorite.

Some stores sell frozen bite-sized cream puffs. My friends can never get enough of these, they are required at every party.

Fresh fruit and cheeses are a lovely snack and can look fancy if you arrange it prettily.

Look through the appetizer section of a cookbook and see what other ideas you come up with. Also maybe browse www.foodtv.com, they have great ideas too.

I know it's a long shot here but it may work for your friends - ask around and see who likes omelets and who doesn't
If you think people at your party would like this, try it - it's really fun and different.
get a couple dozen eggs and lots of the following items
-cooked, crumbled bacon
-ham
-shredded cheese
-cherry tomatoes
-onions
-green peppers
-anything else you can think of to eat on in am omelete
-cut everything in small pieces, put in bowls

Get a box of quart size freezer bags and give each person thier own bag, then put about 1/2 cup of beaten eggs in each bag, everyone adds what they want and zip the bag closed. have your mom get a large pot of water boiling and drop the sealed bags in. when they are done, use kitchen scisoors to cut it open and out comes a perfectly cooked, personalized omelete!

Like I said, this may not work for you but what a good idea for your next sleepover breakfast !!

Would you consider doing a lot of different appetizers? You can make things that are easy to hold and that dont require silverware!! I hope you like these and have fun!!!

PARTY PITA WEDGES

2 regular sized pita pockets (6 inch)
2 large cloves garlic, minced
3 tablespoons olive oil
1 tablespoon butter
1/4 teaspoon oregano
1/4 teaspoon sea salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
16 slices pepperoni
4 round slices provolone cheese
1/3 cup medium chunky salsa

In a heatproof cup or bowl heat olive oil, oregano, salt and pepper in microwave on high for 40 seconds. Remove and add butter. Stir and set aside.
Using kitchen scissors, cut pita pockets into 4 pizza slice shaped wedges (slice in half, then slice each half again to make the wedges). Cut again along curved outer edge to separate into 2. Brush both sides of the pita wedges with warm olive oil mixture, coating well.

Place wedges crust side down on a baking sheet. Spread 1 teaspoon of salsa to top each wedge. Cut provolone slices into 4 wedge shapes and place one on top of each. Top with a slice of pepperoni, if desired. Drizzle with any remaining olive oil and sprinkle lightly with coarse sea salt.

Bake in a preheated 375°F oven for 15 minutes or until golden brown and cheese is bubbly. Serve while still warm.

Makes 16 wedges.

Variation: Cut pita into 4 wedge shaped pockets. Fill the same way as above (but only half as much cheese wedges and pepperoni slices will be needed if making pockets instead of crusts).

PARTY CREAM CHEESE PINWHEELS

10 large flour tortillas
2 boxes of cream cheese
1 cup pitted black olives, finely chopped
2 tablespoons pimentos, finely chopped
1 pkg ranch dressing
2 tablespoons green jalapenos, finely chopped

Soften cream cheese Mix in the powdered Ranch dressing Add the pimentos, black olives and the jalapenos.
Spread evenly over the flour tortillas using a rubber spatula. Roll tightly. Cover and chill for about one hour. Slice into pinwheels.

PARTY MINI - CHEESECAKES

16 oz. softened cream cheese
1 tbsp. lemon juice
3/4 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla

Beat all ingredients until fluffy.
In 2 dozen muffin pans, place cup-cake liners (silver ones are very festive). Drop a vanilla wafer into each lined pan, then fill 2/3 way full with cheesecake mixture.

Bake at 375 degrees for 15 minutes. Allow mini cakes to cool (will flatten, after puffing up during cooking), with cherry or blueberry canned pie filling

Make alcoholic drinks without the alcohol like margaritas or shirely temples. Those are really easy to make. For the food, maybe sub sandwiches and pasta.
