I was in luck that my extended family was visiting the area. So I got to meet my uncle's new wife, had a bunch of cousins, my husband's family, and we threw a huge food spread with tons of wine. The house was packed with ages 2-79. Tons of pictures were taken, everyone loved the food, and got to see each other again after years. It was a total success. Not bad for a 34th b-day!

My birthday is on January 10th, just a week into a new year, and right after the whole christmas madness.. I never manage to do what I intended because everything is all over the place at that time of year. No-one wants to go out because it's the first week back to school/work and people are keeping to their resolutions etc, so it's usually something small like going to the cinema and or a meal. My birthday has always been boring :( I can't wait for it to change.

I am a totally selfish witch on my birthday!!! I think its because I am a mum and we mums don't get much in the way of a day off but I make sure EVERY November 2ND is a ME ME ME day, but then again I do the same for the kids, however my ex hubby doesn't get this as his b/day is Christmas day, now that wasn't my fault lol

Usually I go on vacation for my birthday (las vegas, hawaii, etc). But this year my birthday is on Thanksgiving which kind of sucks because I hate family events. Plus I will have a 1 month old by then, so definitely no vacation this year!

My husband insists on making every birthday special - I am not good in hot weather & as my birthday is in mid August he tries to find cool/cold places to take me for day trips (or weekends when applicable!)
SOO - I get to visit a lot of caves! Suits me fine - I get bought a nice pub lunch, wander around nice cool caves & either look at the geology or the art or whatever and then get dinner bought or cooked for me!
Wouldn't change it for the world!

I do absolutely nothing to celebrate when my birthdays come around, perhaps I have had too many of them, and don`t want anymore reminders? Or perhaps it is because I don`t have anyone to celebrate them with and am too lazy to find some one? Either way, it is my own fault, so I should moaning !!
I wish you a happy birthday anyway.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
On May 31st, I went to Disneyland! I wore my "Happy Birthday" button that indicated that I was 50 years old and I played!
Our anniversary is Aug. 1st so we are going to the "Big D" on the 4th -- 29 years!
