If you don't have diabetes, your fasting level should be below 100, 2 hours after eating it should below 140.

So as long as this was not a fasting test, it is fine.

Each lab has it's own set rules for blood sugar levels. The base should be between no less than 70, no more than 130. That is all on a empty stomach. If you have eaten or drank anything this will all have a affect on your blood sugar level when it is checked. If you are checking your level at home with a test kit you need to make sure you are using the correct codes that go with your testing kit. All of the test kits are different as well as the test strips. If you are having it done like at a doctors office in a trusted lab, there are certain levels that are healthy. The base line on these levels should not change much, but some do change as Little as 1 point or more for high, and low blood sugar. Your doctor should advise you on what you should do before your lab work is done. You should not have any THING after 12 midnight the day of the lab test. If you do it should only a limited amount of water if you are on medication that must be taken on a regular schedule. Otherwise you should follow the instructions of the lab and your doctor.

If you are diabetic and you don't know what your levels should be call your local hospital at health department and enroll in classes to teach you what your levels should be and what to eat etc. I went 2 hours a day once a week for 4 weeks. It is the best class I ever attended. I learned so much !!! It cost me 45.00 but was worth it. Most insurances should cover it or medicare or medicaid. Check into it. Diabetes is a serious condition. You need to keep it under control and you can with proper diet and medication !!!!

Normal is 51 (or 5.1 by european measures). Yours is so high, visit the doctor. As I'm heard on the market exist some special tea and you have to drink 1 liter per day. Take it into consideration but don't worry, humans are very strong "engines". Veradisca & Best Regards, Neven.

It depends, was that a fasting test or not? If you were fasting, that reading is too high, if you had eaten, it's probably normal.
