You'd think so, because the fish is still hurt or distressed by the fact they have a hook stuck in their throat.

Since veganism is very much about going well out of our way to do as little harm to animals as possible, I can't imagine a vegan specifically planning a day around needlessly stabbing animals in the face for fun. It just doesn't make sense. Of course, some people don't make sense either, so I guess it could happen.

Yes, it is. I have read that pulling the fish out of water and then tossing him back can cause enough trauma to kill the fish. What you can do is put food on the end of a string--no hook, and just sit and let the fish stop by, eat, and then swim on. You will feel the tug, but you won't be jerking the fish from water.

Yes. Stabbing a fish in the face and putting it back in the ocean/ lake would be against the ethics of veganism.
Vegans believe in doing no harm to other living beings to the best of their ability.
:)
Some people use veganism as a *diet*, so who knows, they may be all for stabbing fishies in the face.
;)

Depends on the Type of vegans ....
there is the "Dont eat meat but sure like the bone... " types ...
Vegans that eat leaves for health wont mind fishing...
religious types of vegans would probably not fish ... although the purpose of fishes are for our consumption ... (my Humble opinion)

yes, vegans do not eat or use anything that impacts animals.
Many veggies would also be against fishing.
Nadine is wrong.

No, because vegan beliefs are all about what you put IN your body.
