can a cat go out through one just as well as come in through one??????

Yes, in fact you can set catflaps to do whatyou want them to. My cat only has three legs so he is let out by me at certain times of the day so he can only come in through our cat flap. There is usually a little dial to turn so that you can set it to just come in and not go out, just go out and not come in or go in and out.

Yes, they can go out and come back in through them. They even have some that open only for your cat. They come with a magnetic collar that you put on your cat so that only your cat and not strays or some other animal can come into your house.

Most catflaps allow your cta to come in and out of it, I used to get worried that a stray unfriendly cat might come in and attack mine...but then I got this catflap that has (what I can best describe as a latch) on it which allowed me to,...
1.Close it completley
2.Let cats out of my house but not in
3.Let cats into my house but not out (which was helpful when i had to go out and my kitty wouldn't come in!!!
4.Allow for cats to both come in and out.
