if a christian girl want to convert to islam and marry with muslim ,,what the islam says on this,,

ALL she has to do is say (Ashadu Anna La Ilaha Ella Allah, Wa Ashahdu Anna Muhammadan Rasool Allah) which means: I declare that there is no God other than Allah & I declare that Muhammad is his prophet. For correctly converting to Islam, she has to go to the nearest Islamic Center where they will provide her with the Qur'an & some booklets for her to read. Good luck.

I know that Christian & Jewish women can marry Muslim men as they are from the people of the book and if a non muslim man converts he can stay with his wife but what happens if a non muslim woman converts but her husband of many years doesn't what then?

I converted from Christianity to Islam when I was a college student. But it wasn't for marriage but because I wanted to learn hands on what it was to be Muslim. It was cool, they guys in the Islamic Club called me "brother" and stuff. It was a lot of fun. Lot of good memories.
Also, somebody already said it, but you will not be required to convert if you are a Christian. Muslim men can marry women of the book, which traditionally means the Torah, the Bible and the Koran. But there are probably many Muslims that don't agree with this.

conversion to islam is encouraged only if it is for the sake of peity and love for the religion and not because of marriage...further, islam allows muslim men to marry christian or jewish women, but it is not the same for women, since her religious identity depends on that of her husband's, and when she marries a non-muslim, this is lost..
for converting, all she has to do is say,"I witness that there is no God but God(Allah), and that Muhammad(PBUH) is the (last) Messenger of God"..

A muslim guy may marry a christian girl, but the requirement is that the girl should be chaste so that conversion is not necessary.
but if she wants to become muslim, do not get late : )

Lots of Christians have converted to Islam. Just go down to your local Mosque and ask how to convert.

Islam says that you should convert if you believe because only if the intent is in your heart will the shahada have meaning.
