My brother was eighteen when we lost our parents and with me and my younger twin sisters, we were only little, and he took on the responsibility and became our guardian, whenever we were at school, until recently, he worked every hour he could to support and look after us, he has a good job now and never expects anything, he does everything for us, from cooking to washing to taking us to and from school. He's really caring and has promised to always be there for us, our parents left us each some money, but he put ours into trustfunds which he also put some of his own money into each week to make sure were supported for when were older. He always has time to talk to us and explain whatever we do not understand. He pretty much gave his own life to look after us, he doens't drink or smoke or go out really, he doesn't want to leave us as were the only family he has and vice versa.
My question is what can me and my sisters get him as a special present to say thank you.

To risk sounding corny, but grow up to be fine people. Live happy healthy lives, dont waste his gift. I cant imagine there would be any better return. More in the moment, maybe a hand written card telling him what you just said and a hug. If you really want to go all out, then depending on your age, if 16+ step up, help out and give him some time back to maybe persue his own life. Otherwise as I said dont squander his gift and concentrate on doing great in school and such. Lastly of course when you do step in to give him more of his own time, make sure you let him know your not shutting him out, at this stage he will probably have to deal with alot of greiving over your growing up like any parent will and about you becoming more independent.

Wow, what a brother. Maybe you and your sisters could take him on a weekend away or something like that, or organise a party for him and give a speech about how you feel about him and all he has done for you, or write it into a letter. Maybe you can start doing more of the cooking and things around the house, if you are not doing that now. Maybe you could organise some outings to do things that he would like - not just one special present, but little things here and there. Not sure about the cost, but maybe you could get a painting or a photo put on canvas of the three or four of you, or a nice framed photo. Good luck with it.

Your brother sounds like a fine man and hearing your love for him in this question it seems he would be so proud to know he has earned your affection and respect to such an extent.
One gift idea that might be special is to make an appointment at a professional photographer , set a day, and on that morning, everyone of you dress up really nicely (in the same colour works really well), and take your brother along also, and get your family portrait taken.
You will get several copies of the photos that are taken, pick the nicest one and make it page one of a photo album of memories from throughout his life, including a short letter from each of you saying 'thanks'.
Present it to him at a family get together, at which you each also make a short speech, telling him how great he is.
No matter what happens in his life, any troubles or worries, he will always have that to look back on, and the photo album as a permanent reminder of how much you love him and your thanks to him.
My grandmother is 98 and she often looks through her photo albums, remembering treasured times from the past, and she loves to tell her grandkids and great grandkids the stories of the photos, so I think it could really be something a wonderful person like your brother could appreciate.
Very best wishes to you :-)

What a wonderful man he is.
The best present you could give him is,now your older share the chores, take some of the work from him,you should all be doing things in the house now,not just him,he shouldn't have to do everything for you.
Im sure he will love it.

Get him a gift certificate for massages at a health club. Write on the card that it is for all the times he was stressed trying to keep the family together.

Be creative. I think that if you make something, it will mean a lot more than buying something. It comes from your hearts and imaginations and adds a personal touch that really says, "We appreciate you."
