At 76 I have not Sean a climate change yet . back in the early years we had dust storms with rain which made mud balls it was pretty bad. Muddy rain or snow it was a mess. Look if there is a change we will start breaking records that are 100 years old. The big rains in England set new records back to about 60 years. Here in Texas it has rained a lot but the record of about 30 years still stand. Here it looks more like global cooling not global warming.

I think the truth may lie somewhere between the two arguments. I believe Planet Earth has its own predestined course, over which even its most significant inhabitants like us can have little effect. After all, this planet was in existence billions of years before we came unto the scene and it has also hosted diverse forms of life prior to our own. It is hard to imagine that a latter-day life form like ours can so easily bring about its destruction. Having said so, we as intelligent beings also need to look at ourselves and ask whether our lifestyles are healthy enough to allow us to make this planet our home for many more generations to come. For me, the answer to this important question is definitely NO. There is too much wastage in our lifestyle, characterized by over-consumption of the world's non-renewable resources, there is too much pollution of the natural environment caused by our various activities and probably also our numbers may be reaching a point where the Planet may no longer be able to cope without some adverse effects on us. These are important issues for all of humanity to ponder, irrespective of where in the global warming argument we find ourselves.

As a geologists, I just sit amazed at those that pretend climate change is a new thing. It changes very slowly over our lifespan and there are many minor ups and downs but clearly the climate changes dramatically over centuries and millenia with or without human intervention. Some humans pretend to know more that they actually do and state with religious fever that this hurricane was from global warming or you name it. Everything gets blamed on global warming lately becuase it has become a cause celeb and a huge cash cow that researchers desperately trying to milk.

There have been natural changes before, of course. But that doesn't mean all climate changes have to be natural. The present warming is 80-90% man made.
I believe the scientists

and the scientific data which says it isn't natural:

The natural explanations don't work The numbers don't come out right:

All of which is why (note the key word, quantitative):
"There's a better scientific consensus on this [climate change] than on any issue I know... Global warming is almost a no-brainer at this point. You really can't find intelligent, quantitative arguments to make it go away."
Dr. Jerry Mahlman, NOAA

This is all you need to know.
Greenhouse gases are a RESULT of climate changes, not a CAUSE of.
Learn about the states of matter and how heating and cooling effect these states.
It's in any grade school science textbook.

Global Warming definitely. There have been more natural hazards than before, but is it THAT natural. No, is due to the increwased amount of pollution and reduction of ozone that causes Global Warming. Its definitely getting hotter. All those heatwaves in Europe....
