You run out of gas by traveling from A to B; thus, you must stop at B to refill your tank, but it got dark so you stay the night (one day), then travel back to A which totals 4 days

Well it takes longer to back up, than to go forward, or, you need a nights stopover before coming back, or you cross the international date line. Bugga'd if I know. I give up.
